The factors that affect the value of an NBA team

topic is that the factors that affect the value of an NBA team. I often watch
NBA games, and I am interested in some teams such as the Lakers and Warriors.
Sometimes I wonder how the value of these teams is calculated. So, I went to
check relevant information, and initially learned that the value of a team
depends on Market, Sports results, Arena and Brand. Among these factors, I used
to think that Sports results and Brand were the two most important factors.
Take the Lakers as an example. They have won many championships and have many
famous athletes such as Kobe and James. The Lakers brand is well-known all over
the world, so for a long time I thought the Lakers were the most valuable team,
but that was not the case. According to Forbes statistics, the most valuable
team in 2020 is the New York Knicks. Honestly, this surprised me. Because
Knicks haven‘t qualified for the playoffs since 2013. However, the fact is that
the Knicks have obtained huge regional television contracts, merchandising
profits, and sponsorships by virtue of the huge market of 20 million people in
New York. This makes me even more interesting to study the value composition of
an NBA team. So, I want to use this topic on my essay.
